I use a sulfate-free, pH-balancing shampoo to remove buildup and prepare your hair for optimal product absorption.

I apply the selected keratin or organic smoothing formula from root to tip, working section by section for even coverage and protection.

Heat Activation
Gentle blow-drying and state-of-the-art flat ironing lock in smoothing proteins without damaging the cuticle. I run an air purifier during the service to keep fog to a minimum while the hot tools bond the product to your hair.

Finishing Touches
There is no rinse after heat activation. Your hair is pin-straight at this point, so I usually skip styling. A haircut is a separate service if you would like one.

Aftercare Guidance
For the best result, avoid washing your hair for at least 3 days. You’ll leave with a home care regimen to maximize longevity—plus product recommendations (always sulfate- and sodium chloride-free). Expect 2 to 6 months of frizz-free, glossy hair with proper maintenance.

How long do keratin and smoothing treatments last?
Most clients stay frizz-free for 2–6 months, depending on hair texture, aftercare, and product use. I recommend regular sulfate-free routines for maximum longevity.
Is your keratin treatment formaldehyde-free?
Yes. Every keratin smoothing treatment I do uses GK Hair “The Best”, which is 100% formaldehyde-free.
Can keratin smoothing be done on color-treated hair?
Yes, keratin smoothing can be done on color-treated hair. Color usually comes first, with keratin about two weeks later, and smoothing can slightly change your tone. I’ll plan the timing with you at your consultation.
Can I color my hair after a keratin treatment?
Color first is the safer order: color, wait about two weeks, then keratin. I don’t usually do both on the same day. Coloring soon after keratin can turn out patchy and can shorten how long your smoothing lasts, so if you need a touch-up, wait several weeks and ask me about the gentlest option. Is keratin smoothing good for wavy or curly hair?
It works well on wavy or loosely curly hair when you want more manageability and less frizz without going fully straight. Results depend on your texture, so I’ll assess your hair at your consultation. See whether keratin smoothing is right for your hair.
Is keratin smoothing the same as permanent straightening?
No. Keratin smoothing isn’t permanent. It reduces frizz and makes hair smoother and easier to style, then wears off gradually. Most clients get 2–6 months. How straight your hair looks depends on your texture, so I’ll set expectations at your consultation.
Do you offer Brazilian Blowout or hair botox?

How long does a keratin appointment take?
As a starting point, plan on about 4 hours. I confirm the timing for your hair at your consultation.
What aftercare do I need?

Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, for new clients. At the consultation I assess your hair, confirm the formula and your exact price, and plan the timing, including color.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. I offer virtual consultations by FaceTime or WhatsApp video call. It works the same way as an in-studio consultation, but it is less accurate than meeting in person, so the plan and price I give you are less precise. The fee is the same CA$15 as an in-studio consultation. Message me or use the Book a consultation button and I will arrange it with you.
Can I book a private session if I wear a head covering?
Yes, you’re warmly welcome. Let me know when you book or at your consultation, and I’ll plan the visit so you’re comfortable.
What are your deposit and cancellation rules?
To secure your appointment I take a 25% deposit (some services vary). It’s refundable, or can be moved to a new date, with 48 hours’ notice. A no-show is charged at the full service value, and bookings not confirmed within 6 hours are cancelled automatically.
